Why is it that we and everybody around us can swing so wildly between the two poles of cynicism and idealism when it comes to relationships? Our cynicism is met with an undeniable power in and longing for relationship. Our idealism is met with the constant pain and disappointment we experience in relationships. What if a way of finding our way through this conundrum is found right at the beginning of the entire story of Scripture?
